How to use a mock test

  1. Choose a mock selection above. Timed mode gives you 45 minutes for 24 questions.
  2. Read the instruction on each question. Some questions ask for more than one answer.
  3. Finish the session, review the explanations and return to uncertain topics in the study guide.

In untimed practice mode, you can check an answer and read its explanation as you go. Your practice result is feedback on that selection, not an official result.

What do these 50 mock tests cover?

The selections cover UK values, geography, history, society and government. Exams 1–17 share 90 original questions; exams 18–50 use 210 additional questions. Questions repeat within each bank. The 30 extra practice questions are separate. Completing the mocks does not cover every part of the official handbook.

Timed practice and the pass mark

The official test has 24 questions, a 45-minute limit and a 75% pass mark: at least 18 correct answers. Our timed mocks use those numbers for practice. Read the test format and pass mark guide, and check GOV.UK test-day instructions before your appointment.

Want to learn one topic first?

Use questions and answers by topic for shorter untimed sessions. Learn why an answer is correct before returning to a full mock test.
